Pilgrimage with Gurudev Sri Anish

Kashi Yatra 2026

Kashi holds a special place in Gurudev’s heart. This December, he walks us through it.

  • 19 – 23 December 2026
  • Kashi · Varanasi
  • Intimate · limited seats

A sacred opportunity in the city of light

Kashi is a living spiritual field — a tirtha where saints, yogis and seekers have meditated for thousands of years. This yatra is a chance to meet that city alongside Gurudev, through silence, mindful walking, satsang, meditation and inner reflection. Gurudev gives several hours of each day to the yatra group alone, and the group turns inward together.

Arrange your own stay and journey

Three things are yours to arrange: travel to and from Kashi, your hotel, and your own transport outside the group’s hours. Book within about 5 km of the Kashi Vishwanath temple — close enough to reach the group easily, and to keep local travel simple.

December is peak season in Kashi. Book your stay and travel as soon as your place is confirmed.

Preparing for the yatra

A guided meditation, shared twenty-one days before the yatra begins. Its work is to make you inwardly balanced and receptive before you enter the city, so that what Kashi offers has somewhere to land.

21days of Naad Sadhana before Kashi — compulsory.

Entering the city of Shiva

Six things asked of everyone who comes.

  1. 1

    Honour the space of Gurudev

He may not have one-to-one time for every participant. This yatra is about collective presence, not individual attention.

  2. 2

    Maintain inner silence

Keep unnecessary conversation to a minimum, so the energy and atmosphere of Kashi can reach you.

  3. 3

    Respect every sadhak

Everyone here is walking their own inner journey. Do not judge, compare, or comment on anyone else’s.

  4. 4

    Respect Kashi

Its customs, its traditions, its temples, and the people who live in them.

  5. 5

    Enter Kashi with reverence

Come with openness, silence and devotion, and without expectations of what the city ought to give you.

  6. 6

    Allow yourself to slow down

Observe. Listen. Let how you carry yourself reflect where you are standing.

Questions people ask

When will I know if my application is confirmed?

Complete the application and submit the ₹21,000 Ashram contribution through the registration form together; confirmation follows from there.

What is the essence of this yatra?

To experience Kashi as a living spiritual field — through Gurudev’s presence, through the Sangha, and through your own sadhana. It is about slowing down and turning inward, not covering every temple.

How will we be with Gurudev during the yatra?

He makes himself available for several hours each day, with the group alone — satsang, meditation, selected ashram and temple visits, and Sangha gatherings. The rest of the day is yours for sadhana and your own exploration.

Will we visit every temple with Gurudev?

No. Most temples, Kaal Bhairav and Kashi Vishwanath among them, are visited independently. Go on your own, or arrange to go with others from the Sangha.

How are stay and travel arranged?

By you. Travel to and from Kashi, your accommodation, and your transport outside group hours are all arranged individually, which also leaves you free to come and go as you need.

Where should I book my stay?

Within roughly 5 km of the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Book as soon as your place is confirmed — December is peak season.

Is there any other contribution?

Yes. Around ₹5,000 per person for shared group expenses — group meals, local transport, boat rides, ashram visits and common arrangements. This is collected on arrival and is separate from the Ashram contribution.

Will there be personal time every day?

Yes, every day. Time for your own sadhana, for rest, for sitting by the Ganga, for walking through Kashi and finding its older temples yourself. That time is part of the yatra, not a gap in it.

Is the yatra physically demanding?

The pace is gentle and senior-friendly. But Kashi means uneven lanes, steps and crowds — plan according to your own capacity and comfort.

“Allow yourself to slow down. Allow yourself to observe. Allow yourself to listen. Kashi is not something to be completed — it is something to be experienced.”
